Hi!
Can someone assist on identifying the right choice of color for some parts of the cap (Schirmmütze) depicted on the picture below (the one on the right) ?

The visor: I think they were made on vulcanized fiber, and that they do have a gloss look. My question is, should I paint it in black?
The band on the cap, between the visor and the top part of it: it would seem that part is of a much darker tone than the upper part (which is on the typical German Field Gray of that time period) . On this pic it almost looks like a black matt. Any hints/tips on the right color that I should paint it?
For a General (my Verlinden figure here: https://www.planetfigure.com/threads/my-latest-verlinden-120mm.157432/ ), I think the piping, as well as the insignias should be painted in gold. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
One detail I now notice this figure doesn't have is the drawstring on the front half of his Schirmmütze. Guess that either Verlinden forgot about that detail, or it simply would be too small to be noticeable on this scale. Still wondering if I'll add one made with metal wire, or if I just leave it as it is.
Any help & advice would be much appreciated!
